Seniors Council Elects New Board President
The Seniors Council of Santa Cruz & San Benito Counties voted on June 15 to appoint Dr. Pam Arnsberger as the President of its Board of Directors. Pam, who has served on the Board since 2015, will succeed Wayne Norton and begin her term in July. She previously served as President in 2019-2021. Wayne remains on the Board, accepting the nomination to serve a term as Secretary.
Designated by the State of California as the Area Agency on Aging of Santa Cruz & San Benito Counties, the Seniors Council operates five distinct programs serving older adults. In its capacity as the Area Agency on Aging, the organization allocates over $2.5 million per year to additional non-profit agencies for the provision of home-delivered meals, legal services, transportation, senior dining sites, residential care protection, and a variety of aging-in-place services and supports.
Board members anticipate a smooth leadership transition as they continue to provide oversight of Council activities and performance.
The Seniors Council Board of Directors holds meetings online once each month. Please see https://seniorscouncil.org/board-of-directors/ for dates and more information.
